These past two weekends, I've played shows with Book on Tape Worm. :) We made our first recording this Saturday, and it's of a song called Poltergeist.
I will be playing a show alone on June 10th at Velour, and my friend Adam (who did the octopus poster above) has agreed to draw the poster for it. I'm quite excited. :)

Happy Easter!
So. We meet again, music blog. I know I haven't posted here in a while, but I think I'm going to start posting once a week or so, since I have some updates for you.
First, I played a show about two weeks ago on the 19th with my friends Nik Day, Katie Dellenbach, and the SGC. It was at Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo, UT and I had a really great time.
Second, I've joined a band. My excessively talented friend, Scott Shepard, invited me to play in his project, Book on Tape Worm, and I play the piano and harmonize with him while he plays guitar and sings. We also have a cellist and a harpist, both of whom are great to work with. We have a show this month on April the 10th, opening for local band Parlor Hawk's CD release. Come and invite your friends!
And last, I have another show coming up! It's on Satruday, April 17th, and I'm opening for a band called Mudbison's CD release. I've made some relatively new friends in Mudbison's Spencer Russell and in his dad, Tom Russell, who works in the same department as me (Theatre and Media Arts) at BYU. Spencer's brother, Isaac Russell, is playing at the same show, and I'm sure he'll be remarkable, too. I'm super psyched. Do come!
That's all I have for you now, but if you'd like to listen to some pretty tracks, check out the iLike widget I've just added. :)

BYU's Got Talent
Last Wednesday I played my new, still untitled song at BYU's Got Talent and made it into the finale!! I was so impressed with all of the performers there and I'm really honored to be among the finalists. The finale will be on Wednesday, December 9th at 7:00 PM. Please come and support me if you're in town!!
For those of you who'd like a video of my performance, here it is (thanks to a YouTube savvy friend of mine).

Also, BYU's Got Talent is on November 18th at 7pm and it's partially judged using a decibel meter, so bring everyone you can! Thanks for your support!

Performing at Acoustic Explosion!
On Wednesday night, I played at Acoustic Explosion at the Varsity Theatre and had an altogether smashing time! Thanks so much to everyone who turned out for it to support me, and to all the fans I've gained! :) I'm planning two more local concerts in the near future as well. Velour
Last Tuesday, I spontaneously played two songs at a local venue called Velour. My friend took me to the Open Mic night there, and I borrowed a guy's keyboard and got to play two songs! I performed "The New York Song," and "Somewhere."After the performance, the owner of Velour asked me for my contact information so that I can play there again. It was a wonderful night, and more news will follow! :)

Acoustic Explosion!
Well, all of nobody, I hope to perform at Brigham Young University's Acoustic Explosion in the near future. I think if I have to choose three songs, I will play the New York song, Somewhere, and Enemy of Time. I also hope to perform at BYU's Got Talent, playing a gorgeous song I wrote in May and finally... finalized this week. This weekend, I am holding a small "concert" in a dorm here, which is starting to snowball as we invite more students. I'm very excited; I love playing my music for people. :)
